My practice in service is dedicated to making the transformative power of art more accessible. Through this work, I function as a medium whereby public art and place-making are extended to youth and community members. I have carried out this mission through collaborative mural work alongside partners including the Cherokee Street Arts Commission, the Regional Arts Commission, the Sigma Legacy Foundation, and St. Louis Public Schools.
Through my personal work I create visual models investigating the people we are and the people we need to be to ourselves, one another, and our environment in pursuit of liberation through humanization. I create these models through sculpture, painting, written work, and photography. My ultimate and perpetual goal is to better understand myself and, by virtue of this, everyone else. I believe the social responsibility of the artist is to provide a point of departure for their fellow humans to do the same.
I am committed to using my work to foster connection and understanding, while carrying out my lifelong commitment to the arts, education, and the well-being of all people.
